What’s Inside the Voice Unit
This unit develops teens’ ability to communicate assertively, respectfully, and effectively in a wide range of situations. Students practice speaking with confidence, handling disagreements constructively, and listening with empathy to build stronger relationships. By combining clarity with emotional intelligence, learners gain the skills to advocate for themselves while respecting others’ perspectives.

Speak Up, Speak Right
Confidence comes from knowing how to speak clearly and respectfully. In this interactive lesson, students practice assertive communication by choosing the right words, tone, and body language. They learn how to present their views in ways that are confident without being aggressive. By the end, students will be able to express themselves clearly and respectfully in different contexts.

Disagree Without Drama
Disagreements don’t have to turn into arguments. In this interactive lesson, students explore strategies for managing conflict calmly and constructively. They practice separating ideas from personal attacks, using “I” statements, and finding common ground. By the end, students will know how to disagree respectfully while keeping relationships strong.

Listen to Understand
Listening with empathy helps build trust and respect. In this interactive lesson, students develop active listening skills, such as asking clarifying questions and reflecting back what they hear. They discover how listening deeply helps resolve conflicts and strengthens connections. By the end, students will be able to listen with the goal of truly understanding others.
