What’s Inside the Financier Unit
This unit introduces young learners to the basics of money, decision-making, and financial responsibility. Through stories, games, and practical activities, students discover the difference between needs and wants, where money comes from, and how saving helps them reach goals. By learning to think critically about choices and explore the value of money, they build early habits that prepare them for responsible financial decision-making in the future.

Needs, Wants, and Whys
Students learn to tell the difference between things they need to live (like food, clothing, shelter) and things they may want (like toys or treats). They practice making thoughtful decisions about spending by sorting examples into “need” or “want.”

Where Does Money Come From?
Students explore how people earn money through work, services, and creativity. They discuss the value of effort and responsibility, and connect the idea of money earned to how families provide for their needs."

Saving for Something Special
Students learn why saving is important and how setting aside money helps reach goals. They practice planning for something meaningful like a toy, trip, or gift and discover how patience and small steps lead to rewards.
